Task Force Overview
An ALDS task force is a dedicated, temporary group of individuals assembled to tackle specific issues or challenges within the organization. Composed of board members, staff, and external experts, the task force leverages diverse perspectives and expertise to address critical needs. Their responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and developing recommendations or action plans for the identified issues. ALDS task forces provide strategic advice to ALDS leadership and work alongside the Executive Director in implementation. By focusing efforts on particular areas, the task force drives targeted improvements, supporting ALDS's mission and goals.
Leadership Retreat Task Force - Multiple Openings
Join us in shaping the future of leadership. ALDS is seeking engaged and enthusiastic individuals to serve on the Leadership Retreat Task Force for the 2026 retreat in Brentwood, Tennessee. Working closely with the Executive Director and the host school, task force members will help execute the Board’s vision with a particular focus on retreat programming. The team will support the planning and implementation of meaningful, high-quality content that meets the needs of educators and school leaders, while also assisting with sponsorship outreach and support. The task force will work from January through July, culminating in the retreat at Currey Ingram Academy.
Marketing Task Force - Multiple Openings
Join us in strengthening and amplifying the ALDS brand. ALDS is seeking engaged and creative individuals to serve on the Marketing Task Force, with a focus on social media strategy and the implementation of the ALDS Marketing Toolkit across our schools. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board leadership, task force members will help execute the Board’s vision by supporting cohesive, effective marketing efforts that elevate ALDS and its member schools. The team will focus on strengthening digital engagement, supporting consistent messaging, and helping schools effectively utilize shared marketing resources. The Marketing Task Force will serve an 18-month term with monthly meetings, providing sustained support and guidance to advance ALDS’s marketing goals and overall impact.
